Your Children Need DokiWatch Right Now

As in okey, dokiWatch is the find-your-kids-anywhere, talk-to-them-and-see-their-faces-now, fitness tracker and gaming wearable you just hafta have. Similar to the Brillar wearable, the dokiWatch offers something more. It’s the first children’s wearable that adds video chat.

What’s even better, it’s not vaporware. Doki technologies, the makers of the dokiWatch put that put the smack down on their Kickstarter goals and already shipped worldwide. Why weren’t you on their list?

Not all children can carry smartphones. Parents have two options, give them one anyway, accepting that they will lose it by the end of the week or just pull out all your hair now.

There are many options for children’s tracking wearables, but none of them let you video chat like Doki does.

Still, in pre-sale, dokiWatch will come in four colors when it ships.

DokiWatch will not only let you talk to your kids now, however, you prefer, but it will keep their busy minds active, plus it’s built kid proof.

Talk Now

Forget Bluetooth, forget simple GPS, dokiWatch connects you to your children like a smartphone, but without all the maturity required to carry a phone.

It facilitates text messaging and voice messaging too. You can connect it to any network, GSM or CDMA, just by purchasing a chip and plan form your carrier.

Sure, it has GPS. How else could it locate your little ones right now? Just knowing where your kids are is not as comforting as seeing their face when you need it.

Doki even has an emergency feature, where your little mini-me can press a button to notify you of an SOS situation. That way you can helicopter parent from across town.

Sooo convenient.

Take Control

You can set an alert to notify you when your kids leave a designated area, making the gas you’d burn flying that helicopter more manageable.

You don’t have to worry about them making calls when you don’t want them to either. There’s a class mode, so you can deactivate Doki when your student-of-the-month is facing the whiteboard.

In fact, you can set all the limitations of Doki, when and with whom your kids may connect. Whenever they add a new friend, you receive a notification.

Get Active

If the location aspects of Doki weren’t enough, it also houses some goodies your little one will appreciate. There are fitness tracking and games loaded into the operating system.

Do you remember Digipets? Doki has dokiPet, a virtual pet that helps keep your kid active.

Leveraging the onboard accelerometer, dokiPet encourages your kids to stay active. The more they move, the more dokiPet grows. It will track steps, distance and calories burned.

You decide the wellness messaging behind that data.

Stay Tough

If it didn’t stand up to tumbles and dirt, the dokiWatch wouldn’t be worth its chip. DokiWatch’s technology is well protected inside the casing, but it will not go in water yet.

If we had a beef with this device, it is this. DokiWatch won’t even take a rain shower. Kids are notorious for not paying attention to life’s little details. Remember, the whole point of this was that you couldn’t trust them with a smartphone?

I’ll just come out with it… besides the waterproof oversight, in many ways, Doki fills the gaps not yet covered by the Apple Watch. Perhaps we shouldn’t buy these for just the children. Maybe we need one as well.
