Struggling to get the thought of a sugary donut out of your head? Try changing your scenery. Getting out of the house and going for a walk can be a great way of distracting yourself from your food cravings. Sitting at home and ruminating on what type of snack that you really want will get you nowhere fast and it might make you more likely to grab for the nearest cookie. The longer the walk can be, the better; by the time you get back, you should have forgotten about the junk food and feel sufficiently refreshed!

Likewise, rather than thinking that you deserve a treat after having a hard day, think what would really make you feel better. Kindness and socializing might be the best way to help you work through your anxieties in the long term; eating junk will only leave you with regret.
