There is nothing that can destroy your motivation and drive to work out like not seeing results after months or even years in the gym. You put in the hard work and early mornings and feel like you deserve the results and they should be there. Here are three of the most likely reasons why you are not seeing results in the gym

1. You Are Overworking Yourself

While going hard at the gym and giving it your all is a good idea and a great way to see results, some rest and recovery is also needed. If you are constantly going each and every day to the gym, and not seeing results, it very well could be that you are overworking yourself.  Also, overworking yourself can leave you more susceptible to injuries which can also put a serious halt on your results at the gym.

2. You Are Not Increasing the Weight Over Time

If you let your body get too comfortable in your workouts and don’t increase the intensity over time as you get stronger, you will hit a plateau. If you started lifting weights a year ago, and are still lifting the exact same weight now, you are not challenging yourself in the least and that will not lead you to make any improvements to your body. Now this doesn’t mean you should get ahead of yourself and lift super heavy before you’re ready, but just make sure to progress at a comfortable rate.

3. Your Diet is Not Right

This right here is probably the number one culprit as to why people don’t see the results they feel they should in the gym. If you are working out every day and doing everything by the book, but are eating like crap, you will not see NEARLY the results you would if you had a good diet. A great body is made in the kitchen even more so than in the gym, so if looking your best and getting the best results are your goals, cleaning up your diet could be a huge help.
