Pull-ups
You will need a bar strong enough to hold your weight for these. Beware the closet rack, the basement electrical conduit, and the PVC water pipe. These will all break once you are at the highest point of your pull-up, dropping you and the makeshift bar on your tailbone. Not good. Sometimes old houses have good strong pipes, hung on thick timber with redundant supports. If that isn’t your situation, then proceed at your own risk or get your hands on a proper pull-up bar. There are many door-mount versions out there. Grab the bar overhand. Put pressure on the bar by attempting to bend it, then pull yourself up. You can reverse these like the dips to build your strength.
