Blood sugar levels and diabetes are directly linked, so it pays to keep yours under control before things get too far. Stuffing yourself with sugary drinks and snacks can cause your blood glucose levels to rise beyond healthy levels, making it harder for your body to regulate. To give yourself a fighting chance, try and cut out the soda. The sugary drinks can have you well past your daily sugar intake before you’ve even started eating, so try and stick to water.

Moving your body for at least 30 minutes every day can help you to cut down the extra weight, improve your bodily functions and generally feel better in and of yourself. If the gym doesn’t take your fancy, try taking up a new activity or getting into the great outdoors. You should pick an activity that you’re going to look forward to; sticking with it will only become easier.
