When barefoot running made headlines a few years ago, it was touted as the fix-all for running injuries. The logic is reasonable. Use your foot more like a paw, the way it’s designed. It may be the best thing ever, but no running style is a guarantee. You can injure yourself no matter how you run. If you’ve been heel-striking your whole life, then switch to barefoot, you are highly likely to suffer setbacks as you adapt.
