Yogurt-covered snacks are so good. They’re pretty. They’re tasty, and they’re better for you than chocolate-covered snacks, right?
Nope. Here’s a little secret: “yogurt-covered” is often just another way of saying “frosted”. Most yogurt-covered treats aren’t covered in yogurt at all. They’re covered in sugar and fat. A 1/4th-cup serving of yogurt-covered raisins comes to about 150 calories. A third of those calories come from fat. A better option would be to sprinkle regular raisins into plain Greek yogurt.
