Nut butters are problematic. They’re tasty and they’re a good source of protein, and they’re also a great option if you’re vegan or vegetarian. The trouble is that many nut butters marketed on the shelves have extra ingredients – like sugar – that you have to beware of. Take care to read your labels. If there’s much more on that ingredients list than nuts and salt, put the jar down and try to find a better option. Your body will thank you.
