Achieving flawless skin isn’t as difficult or as unattainable as it may seem. By combining a few of these tips below, you’ll be on your way to flawless, moisturized, hydrated, and young looking skin in no-time.

1. Always remove your makeup

Removing your makeup nightly is both one of the most important and easiest ways to improve the health of your skin so you can achieve that flawless look that everyone craves. When you remove your makeup each night, you’re exfoliating your skin, which is very important and is a big reason why most men age a little more gracefully than women do (their razors exfoliate their skin daily.) Washing your face every night also benefits your skin because it allows it to breathe and create new skin cells without having to overcome layers of makeup. The nighttime is when your skin rejuvenates itself, so it’s essential to make sure that we’re allowing it to do so.

2. Eat properly

It’s no secret that your health is reflected through your skin. To achieve the most flawless skin possible, it’s important to look to your diet and remove any foods that could be causing skin problems and adding foods that will help to improve your overall skin health. Some foods to include in your diet in order to achieve flawless skin are blueberries (to prevent aging), fish (to provide healthy oils), whole wheats (to improve your digestion), green tea (to provide antioxidants), broccoli (to fight fine lines), and avocado (to also prevent aging.) These are just a few easy items that you can easily add to your grocery list (or grab from your refrigerator) that will help to improve your overall health and the appearance of your skin.

3. Drink tons of water

Our skin reflects our health from the inside out, so in order to have flawless hydrated skin, we need to hydrate from the inside, too! Think of water like moisturizer for your insides. Your skin has molecules that bind with water, so when you’re dehydrated it can really affect the appearance of your skin. By replacing sugary drinks like juice and/or soda with water, you’re also balancing out your insulin levels, which can also improve your skin. Drinking 8 glasses of water per day can greatly impact your overall health and definitely give your skin the boost that it needs to look flawless, all day, every day!

4. Moisturize daily

While it may seem easy to skip this step, we highly recommend that you don’t. Investing in a good moisturizer, slathering on a natural oil like coconut oil or olive oil, or using a BB cream (a foundation/moisturizer blend) are some other great ways to impact the look and feel of your skin. Applying moisturizer after you wash your face at night and before you apply your makeup in the morning, will have your skin looking and feeling perfectly hydrated. When your skin is hydrated it will look and feel softer, it will appear more plump and supple, and overall, it will appear brighter (which is exactly what everyone wants, am I right?)

5. Avoid too much sun exposure

Sun is one of the biggest skin damaging culprits there is. By using a high SPF formulated specifically for your face, wearing a massive sun hat, or staying under an umbrella, you’re decreasing your chances of premature aging and getting those dreaded fine lines and wrinkles. Remember that the skin on our faces is a LOT more sensitive than the skin on our bodies so it’s important to apply an SPF specifically formulated for your face, or even better than that, an all natural and organic SPF.
