1⁄2 cup blueberries or strawberries
1⁄2 pineapple or mango
1⁄2 cup oatmeal
1 cup water or coconut milk
1⁄2 cup ice
Here’s what you do
Throughly wash the kale or spinach. Remove any stems and chop the greens in small pieces. Blend the kale or spinach with water or coconut milk until smooth. Add the fruit, yogurt, oatmeal and ice! Blend up these healthy ingredients and drink up until you’re satisfied!
Here are a few tips to make your smoothie even more delicious and save some more time.
Cut up pieces of banana (especially when they are starting to get too ripe and you don’t know what to do with them), place them in a tupperware and freeze them. Your bananas are now ready for a smoothie any day of the week! Frozen banana by itself also makes a healthy sweet treat and a great snack for kids! You can also try making popsicles by doubling the recipe and skipping the oatmeal. Buy organic frozen fruit to also save some time if you don’t have fresh fruit. Chop up the fruit and veggies the night before and store it in tupperware.
