One of the easiest ways to feel better in your body is simply to move more often. With many of us leading increasingly sedentary lifestyles, actually getting out of the office chair in order to do a little exercise can seem like a very big deal and by the time the end of the day rolls around, we might have lost all enthusiasm altogether. What if there were another way? By simply hacking your routine and changing your perspective, you can get a great deal more out of your day and after a few weeks, it will be you who feels all the benefits!
- Walk When You Shop
Taking use of your daily habits is a great way in which to incorporate a little extra exercise into everything that you do, and when it comes to food shopping, you could be missing out on an important trick. Walking all of the aisles when you do your groceries is a simple way of fitting in a little extra movement and stretching your legs out after a day spent behind the desk. The more you walk, the better you might feel!
- Work Out In The Garden
If you have a property that comes with a garden, you’re sitting on a great workout opportunity. Doing the lawn work every week is an instantaneous way in which to fit in an extra workout and build up a bit of a sweat while you’re doing it. Mowing the lawn and trimming the hedges might not seem like much but do them over the course of a few weeks and all that extra activity will build up.
- Pace During Ad Breaks
When you’re watching your favorite show, you can spend hours in a sitting position, moving very little over the course of an evening. If you want to try and fit in more activity, then try using the ad breaks to your best advantage. When the show breaks, you can pace about the house or stretch out your muscles. Doing this every 15 minutes or so will help to improve your blood flow and leave your limbs feeling much more limber.
