One of the most important functions of our bodies and our brains is our ability to remember. Without this ability, the world would be a disaster. These are a great way to memorize a lot of things much easier than the traditional ways. Mnemonic devices are basically memory tools that help you to remember words, information, phrases or concepts. These help you to organize larger or confusing information into more manageable and easier to remember portions. These can be rhymes, acronyms, visualizations and more.

When it comes to sleep, there is a huge difference between the amount you can get by on and the amount that is required to be at your best. Around 8 hours is the sweet spot for an adult to sleep per night and even if you skimp out on a few hours it can have very negative effects, including on your mind and memory. The key memory enhancing activity happens during REM sleep, so make sure to get your Z’s every night!

This can apply to both physical items in your work space or home and also keeping things organized in your head. It terms of items, if you keep them in the same place every time, then you will basically be able to train your brain to know where they are, whereas if you leave them in random spots, you’ll lose them all the time. And in terms of keeping things organized in your head, that will help you be able to prioritize and make sure you are efficient in life. While multitasking is often seen as a great thing, it can sometimes lead to an unorganized mind, and thus, an inefficient life.
