Wearable technology is one of the newest and exciting type of technology out there today. With a variety of offerings out there with different uses, I decided to focus on perhaps the most popular in this article, the Apple Watch. With the watch being out for a good while, there have been numerous useful and awesome apps for it, and here are five of the best.
1. Pennies
This is a fantastic app for people who love to keep track of their finances and budget (which in reality, should be everybody). As opposed to some other apps out there that flood you with information in a confusing manner, this app is very clean, simple and to the point. You can input amounts spent, amounts received, history, make notes and much more. The color coding of red (for when you are almost at your spending budget) and green (for when you still have some room) is really great as well.
2. Clear
Keeping a to-do list is a great way to make sure you stay on schedule, and the Clear app on the Apple Watch is among the best and simplest. It gives you what you need to do, when and that is about it. No fussing with extra features that end up wasting more time than you save, this is a very simple to-do list that lets you tick off items when you’re done and dictate new ones if you so choose. The iCloud integration also allows for cross-device use as well.
3. Find Near Me
This is simply an app that does exactly what you would expect when you see the name of it. This app is the best and easiest way to find everything around you, right on your wrist. Whether you want a restaurant, coffee shop, ATM or gas station, this app can help you on your search. They also have a handy list of keywords you can search if you are in a new city and want to do a little exploring.
4. Runtastic
This is an extremely handy watch that will be able to track your runs, record progress and more, without even having to take your phone with you. It keeps track of a number of useful info such as calories burnt, pace, distance and (thanks to a new update), it also can keep track of your heart rate and even save them over time and compare.
5. Brainess
While people often think to exercise their body and keep it in tip top shape, they don’t often do this with their minds. That is where Brainess comes in. This app is a fantastic one that includes 7 different games to test your brain. These games are simple, fun and quick and can give your brain a little workout at any time of the day, with a few minutes of play. You can monitor your success over time and see just how much a few minutes of work a day can help your brain power.
