With our busy lives, most seem to elect for a quick shower as opposed to relaxing and winding down in a nice bath. It makes sense, but there are definitely some reasons why you could (and sometimes should), go for a bath instead of a shower.
1. Might Be Better for Your Skin
While showers may be quicker and easier to take than baths most of the time, at what cost? It is possible that showers (especially ones that are way too hot) can be potentially harmful to the skin. With constant hot water blasting on the skin, it can potentially strip too much of the oils off of the skin, which isn’t good obviously. Also, there are many things you can add to bathes (like salts and various other items) that can provide extra benefits to your skin and body that a simple shower cannot.
2. Good for Muscle Pain
If you are achy, sore or just experiencing general discomfort at all in your day to day life, you really should look into substituting baths in for showers. While yes, it may add a few more minutes to your hygiene routine, it could have numerous benefits for pain. It could help to relax the muscles, give you time to de-stress and heal up those aches and pains much quicker than if you didn’t do anything.
3. The Relaxation Factor
In our busy lives it is rare that we get a real solid break without feeling guilty about not working or being productive. Taking a nice, warm and relaxing bath can be a great way to decompress after a hard day’s work and get that nice little break from life that we all yearn for from time to time. While showers are definitely easier and quicker, a nice bath is definitely worth the time and extra effort from time to time.
